Getting older, I wanted to find a easier way to work on riding mower decks.
I hope to be buying a handy lift soon which raises to 39″.
The plan is to remove the deck and slide it onto a cart of something, but I recently had to throw away an old recliner and I found this underneath it which gave me an idea.
I could mount a 2 foot by 4 foot piece of plywood to it.
And then I could bolt that to this old table saw platform that I had.
Which would give me something like this that I could leave a foot or so away from the handy lift, and when I needed to remove a deck, I could position the plywood next to the lift and slide the deck on there, and then rotate it 90 degrees so that I could easily work on the deck as needed.
By doing it this way, it would be out of the way when I don’t need it, and it can also be used for other things that I might want to swivel to work on.
